“You Will Know” Limited Edition 7-inch vinyl
Ladies and gentlemen, we’re very happy to announce the release of Aloud’s new single, “You Will Know” backed with the b-side “Such A Long Time”.
“You Will Know” will be available exclusively on limited edition 7-inch vinyl. The single doesn’t hit the streets till Tuesday, September 4 but you can pre-order a copy now in the Aloud store for only $5.99 (plus shipping).
Each sleeve has been hand-numbered, with the first 50 having been painted by the band. This marks Aloud’s first vinyl release.
“You Will Know” was recorded late last year for Berklee PULSE’s BANDED documentary, which followed Aloud and five other bands throughout the process of writing and recording a song.
Both “You Will Know” and its b-side “Such A Long Time” were recorded at Mad Oak Studio in Allston, Mass. by producer Benny Grotto. The single also features Mike Tucker (The Big Big Bucks, Bozmo) on drums, Will Belew on trumpet, and Matt Wan on trombone.

Hello all! Two sections of our site are now open for business, both figuratively and literally.
Vids have been posted on the video page. We’ve thrown the latest music videos at the top of the heap. However, most notably we’ve posted our 2008 film Hard Up In The 2000s in its entirety and in higher quality (it had only been previously available in 10 parts). The feature length documentary catches Aloud in the midst of their first real touring adventure through the South, Midwest, and back home in the Northeast. The film also features live performances from the first leg of the Fan The Fury tour (March – April 2008) and interviews with the band during and after the successful tour.
Boston’s Berklee School of Music has just a short video from their SXSW party.
The video features performances from the March show at Friends and interviews with Aloud, Art Decade, Stereo Telescope, The Boston Boys, Julia Easterlin, Emily Elbert, Audio Runner, Laura Jansen, and Black Kettle.
You can watch the video below, or click here to view it on the Berklee site.
Aloud is currently working with the Berklee City Music program on BANDED.
Most have come to know rock n’ roll band Aloud through their high-energy album Fan The Fury (2008) and their latest Exile (2010) thanks in large part to the hefty touring schedule accompanying each release. Leave Your Light On, Aloud’s debut released on May 2, 2006, did not have the benefit of a muscular touring itinerary, yet songs like “Release”, “Godspeed”, and “Beaches” have managed to persist as fan favorites and regular tunes on the set list.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of their first full-length album, Leave Your Light On, Aloud will be reducing the price of the record to $7 and including three previously unreleased bonus tracks with every purchase starting Monday, May 2.
Just released last week, Aloud’s music video for “Exile in the Night”—the second single and title track off Exile—has already received some press! Read below the jump for snippets, and click on the links for the full write-ups.
The music video was animated and directed by Chris March, who also directed Aloud’s music video for “Old Soldier” (which featured live-action yet no less animated folks from the Boston music community).
